White (foot) was considered a non-participant for the Buccaneers' walk-through Wednesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
EDGE Analysis
White played 95 percent of the team's defensive snaps in Monday's 25-11 loss to the Eagles and it's possible that the linebacker was just given a day off Wednesday. More information on his status will come following Thursday's practice.

White logged seven tackles (five solo) and one interception in Monday's 25-11 loss to the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
White bounced back from a rough Week 2 performance by recording his first interception of the season. He remained a reliable member of the defense by being on the field for 74 defensive snaps (95 percent). The linebacker will now look to carry that momentum into Sunday's game in New Orleans.

White (groin) has been listed as questionable for Monday's matchup against the Eagles, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
White was a limited participant in practice both Friday and Saturday. He's played a pivotal role in the team's 2-0 start to the season and has registered 14 tackles (seven solo) and a pass deflection while playing almost every single defensive snap. If White is unable to suit up for Monday's contest, expect K.J. Britt to step up in his place at inside linebacker.

White played every defensive snap and assisted on two tackles in Tampa Bay's 27-17 victory over Chicago on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
While the linebacker did not fill the stat sheet, he did help a defense that limited the Bears to just 236 total yards and 67 rushing yards. The 2021 Pro Bowler and 2020 Second-Team All-Pro made 12 tackles in the Buccaneers' 20-17 win over the Vikings in Week 1.

White recorded 12 tackles (eight solo), including one for loss, in the Buccaneers' 20-17 win over the Vikings on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
White led the Buccaneers in tackles with a trademark effort. The fifth-year pro played a big role in limiting Alexander Mattison to 3.1 yards per carry and T.J. Hockenson to 4.4 yards per reception while providing fantasy managers with standout season-opening IDP numbers. White posted three double-digit tackle totals last season, but with the incentive of a long-term deal fueling him in 2023, Sunday's effort may prove to be closer to the norm than an exception. White will now turn his sights to a Week 2 home matchup with a Bears offense that's sure to afford him plenty of tackling opportunities.

White, who was embroiled in a contract dispute with the Buccaneers during the offseason, has embraced and stood out in his role of defensive play-caller since the start of training camp, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
To his credit, White didn't allow his dissatisfaction with his contract impact his outlook for training camp, with the standout linebacker seemingly flipping a switch and reverting to his usual standout play. Head coach Todd Bowles has labeled White's overall body of work as "outstanding" and praised the 2019 first-round pick's ownership and command of the defensive unit. As impressive as White's first four seasons have been -- he's already accumulated 483 tackles, including 20.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and eight fumble recoveries across 62 games -- Bowles indicates he feels this coming season could be the LSU product's best yet. "It's a continual growth thing," said the coach. "It's got to be constant thinking and constant changing and he's been doing a great job at it."

White will be reporting for training camp Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
White requested a trade after being unable to reach an agreement on a contract extension this offseason. However, Tampa Bay stood firm in its refusal to move the linebacker. He'll now work to build on his strong 2022 campaign and earn the contract he's looking for.

White, who was present but didn't participate in Tuesday's minicamp session, is expected to be ready for training camp per head coach Todd Bowles, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports. "His mindset is good," said Bowles. "I mean, it's just business. That's part of it. That takes care of itself. He'll be ready for training camp and he'll be good to go."
EDGE Analysis
The star linebacker made an official trade request earlier this offseason, but true to statements made at the time, the team stood pat in its commitment to keeping White on the roster. While White's decision to watch Tuesday's practice from the sideline may well be related to his desire to minimize injury risk as he seeks out a lucrative long-term deal, Bowles' words convey confidence the fifth-year pro will be ready to roll once the final stretch of preparation for the regular season begins.

White was present at practice Tuesday but was not an active participant, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Todd Bowles noted that White wasn't a "hold-in," rather a precaution to "see where he is physically." White did not report for the start of Buccaneers' minicamp and had requested a trade in April. The 2019 first-round pick has been a key piece in the Buccaneers' defense and is slated to play under his fifth-year option worth $11.7 million. He played in all 17 games last season, racking up 124 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
