The Jets re-signed Brown on Monday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown led the Jets in special-teams tackles in 2020, while also catching both of his targets for 31 yards and appearing in all 16 regular-season games. By virtue of his depth utility and acumen on special teams, Brown certainly could earn tenure on the active roster for a third straight season.

Brown caught his only target for 18 yards in Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Brown caught a ball in each of New York's last two games after previously going without a catch all season. He'll hope to make a roster as a depth tight end next season, be it with the Jets or another team.

Brown caught his only target for 13 yards in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Brown made his first catch of the season count, picking up 13 yards to convert on 3rd-and-9. The fourth-string tight end is a near non-factor in New York's offense.

The Jets re-signed Brown on Sunday, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown only spent a day apart from New York before the team opted to re-sign him. He'll offer New York depth at tight end behind Chris Herndon and Ryan Griffin.

Brown (undisclosed) was activated off the non-football injury list Saturday, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown has been on the NFI list since July 30. He is a distant third in the tight end pecking order for the Jets behind Chris Herndon and Ryan Griffin, but he'll look to make an impression at camp regardless. His 2019 season ended in December following ankle surgery, but it now appears his health is finally back up to par.

The Jets placed Brown (undisclosed) on the non-football injury list Thursday, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown is a distant third in the tight end pecking order for the Jets behind Chris Herndon and Ryan Griffin. That said, Griffin is still in recovery mode from December ankle surgery, which could have allowed Brown to have increased reps in the coming weeks. Instead, Brown is dealing with an unknown injury of his own, leaving his status in limbo for the time being.

Brown signed a one-year contract extension with the Jets on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Brown appeared in all 16 regular-season games with the Jets in 2019, hauling in seven catches for 72 yards and one touchdown. He also played a key role on special teams. The veteran tight end stands to handle a similar role on the tight end depth chart for 2020.

Brown caught three of four targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 13-6 win over Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
Brown came in with just four catches all season but closed out the campaign in style with his first multi-catch effort. He was forced into a larger role with injuries ravaging the tight end depth chart above him, but Brown will go back to a depth role next season, be it with the Jets or elsewhere.

Brown failed to catch his lone target in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
With their top two tight ends both injured, the Jets have largely ignored the position in the passing game recently. Brown and rookie Tevon Wesco combined for one catch, and the team has more incentive to find out what it has in Wesco than the 27-year-old Brown.

Brown started at tight end and caught one of two targets for four yards during Thursday's 42-21 loss to the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Brown played 29 offensive snaps (49 percent) after Ryan Griffin (ankle) was ruled out for the season ahead of the season. The James Madison product stands to continue splitting tight-end reps with Trevon Wesco going forward, but his lack of upside as a pass catcher probably will keep him off the fantasy radar.
