Lamar Odom finally spoke out on Twitter Tuesday night, speaking about his father and the fact he's apparently been saying things about the Kardashians that Odom is not fond of. "He wasn't there 2 raise me," Odom said about his father. "He was absent ALL of my life due to his own demons...He disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return. They are the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time. Only person 2 blame is myself." The saga with Odom continues, but the fact he's been out of the headlines lately is probably a good thing. While it's doubtful he ever plays in the NBA again, the first step to making it happen would be getting his problems worked out, so maybe this is a step in the right direction. TMZ reports that Lamar Odom was charged with one count of DUI. This charge stems from an August 30th arrest in Los Angeles, where he failed several sobriety tests and refused to take a blood alcohol test. He will be arraigned on September 27th. The DUI charge doesn't come as a surprise, but it is just another reason to think that his professional basketball days are probably behind him.

When asked on the street whether he has a drug problem, Lamar Odom responded, "Nah, I'm good." Odom also denied needing "professional help," laughed off a question about his wife Khloe Kardashian, and mentioned that he still hopes to play basketball this season. Video of the brief exchange, which shows Odom in good spirits, can be seen on TMZ via the link below.

People.com reports that although Lamar Odom checked into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center on Wednesday, he checked himself out on Thursday. Odom was arrested for DUI last week but he's currently free on $15,000 bail. There have been a deluge of rumors about his alleged 'hardcore drug use', and we can only hope that he overcomes his problems before they become more intractable.

TMZ is disputing a recent report by People Magazine, saying that Lamar Odom is not, in fact, in a drug and alcohol rehab facility. While TMZ is hardly the place we like getting our NBA news from, the fact remains that they're usually right about these kind of things. So while Wednesday's night's report that Odom was in rehab was encouraging news about his wellbeing, today's contradicting report puts us right back where we were. The bottom line is that Odom appears to be dealing with some kind of serious crisis, while his NBA career has likely come to an end.

Lamar Odom has checked himself into an alcohol and drug rehab center, according to People Magazine. Hopefully this is a sign that Odom's life is about to get turned back around in the right direction. This surely won't be the last non-basketball related update on Odom, but it's good to hear that he's finally getting some help after his recent DUI arrest and extremely serious rumors of heavy drug use.

Lamar Odom's alleged drug dealer told Radaronline.com that Odom spent $50,000 on cocaine over the last three years, and even smoked the drug before a game against the Knicks on Feb. 10. The story was subsequently picked up and run by NESN on the heels of Odom's DUI arrest on Friday. He's hired Robert Shapiro to represent him, and while it's impossible to know if the newest allegations are true (especially considering the source), it's clear that Odom's NBA career is in jeopardy. "I know it for a fact because I sold him the stuff and saw him smoke it," the unnamed, alleged dealer said. "He spent about 16 grand." With the Lakers signing Shawne Williams and the Clippers picking up Antawn Jamison, we'd be very surprised to see Odom in an NBA jersey this season.

Lamar Odom hired Robert Shapiro to be his lawyer this weekend, according to TMZ. Shapiro was one of the attorneys in the O.J. Simpson trial and is also the co-founder of the website LegalZoom.com. Odom was charged with DUI on Friday morning and police believe he was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He'll have his license suspended for one year and will have to attend alcohol education class.

Lamar Odom will lose his driver's license for one year after being arrested for driving under the influence of "alcohol and/or drugs" on Friday. Odom failed field sobriety tests but refused chemical tests at the police station. An unnamed NBA executive told the L.A. Times, "Lamar can't play anymore," and it seems doubtful that he'll earn a contract after a tumultuous offseason. The Clippers had shown interest in giving him a one-year deal at the league minimum, but they've since signed Antawn Jamison instead.

Lamar Odom was arrested for "driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs" early Friday morning, according to TMZ. According to the report, he was pulled over in the San Fernando Valley at 3:54 a.m. for going too slow, and did not respond to cops, driving past three exits before finally coming to a stop. Odom "failed numerous field sobriety tests" and when he was booked, he "refused all chemical tests." It's been a disastrous offseason for Odom with this news and additional reports of "hardcore" drug abuse.
