Blue Jays outfielder Myles Straw went 0-for-2 with a walk, a run scored, and a stolen base in a 3-1 win over the Rays on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Straw didn't record a hit in this one, but he did draw a walk in the seventh inning before stealing second and coming around to score on a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. single. The swipe was Straw's third of the season as he's hitting .222 with three homers and a .592 OPS across 176 trips to the plate.

Straw isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Straw will retreat to the bench Saturday after going 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts during Friday's series opener. While he sits, Jesus Sanchez, Nathan Lukes and Yohendrick Pinango will form Toronto's outfield trio.

Straw went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Wednesday's loss to the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Making his fourth start in the last five games while Daulton Varsho tends to a wrist issue, Straw set a new season high in hits while extending his run-scoring streak to a modest three contests. Since Varsho was injured June 4, Straw has gone 6-for-16 (.375) with a double, three RBI and four runs, and he should continue to see consistent playing time in the short term.

Straw went 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored in Thursday's win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Getting the start in center field in place of Daulton Varsho against southpaw Chris Sale, Straw produced a two-run single in the third inning before playing a role in the Blue Jays' four-run outburst in the top of the ninth. It was the veteran outfielder's first multi-hit performance since May 6, snapping a 1-for-23 skid that had dragged his OPS on the season down from .812 to .647. Straw remains an important bench piece for Toronto in a predominantly lefty-swinging outfield, but playing time will be even harder to come by once Addison Barger (elbow) is activated from the IL.

Straw went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Straw's homer was his first of the season. The light-hitting outfielder had just 10 long balls over parts of eight seasons prior to 2026, so he shouldn't be counted on for power, though he can add some speed. He was the lone Blue Jay with multiple hits in this contest despite coming in off the bench for Daulton Varsho (knee). Straw has filled a reserve role this season but is batting .400 (8-for-20) with three RBI, eight runs scored and a double, though he was caught on his lone steal attempt so far. If Varsho misses time, Straw would likely temporarily take over the starting job in center field.

Straw went 1-for-1 with a double, a run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's extra-inning win over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The depth outfielder pinch ran for Eloy Jimenez in the top of the ninth inning and came around to tie the game at 4-4, but the game got wild from there. Straw came to the plate in the 10th with runners on first and second with the Jays up 7-6, and he brought both home with a two-bagger into the left-field corner in what wound up a 9-7 victory. Straw has been used frequently as a pinch runner and defensive replacement, but he has just 17 plate appearances in 12 games to begin the season, batting .375 (6-for-16) with two RBI and six runs.

Straw will be on the Blue Jays' Opening Day roster, Rosie DiManno of The Toronto Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not a big surprise, but Toronto does have something of a logjam in the outfield with Daulton Varsho, George Springer, Addison Barger, Jesus Sanchez, Nathan Lukes and Straw all confirmed for the 26-man roster, and Davis Schneider still fighting for the final bench spot. Straw does offer a platoon option in center field for Varsho, but his main usage in 2026 will likely come as a pinch runner and late-inning defensive replacement. In 299 regular-season plate appearances last year, Straw slashed .262/.313/.367 with four homers, tying his career high, and 12 steals in 13 attempts.

Straw went 3-for-3 with a double in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Getting a start in center field with Daulton Varsho (hand) sidelined, Straw not only had a perfect day at the plate, he make an impact on defense as well, robbing a home run from Jackson Chourio in the first inning in a game that was tied 1-1 until the ninth inning. Straw has been used mainly as a late-inning defensive replacement of late, but he's come through when called upon, batting .333 (14-for-42) in August with two doubles, two homers, three steals, seven RBI and 10 runs in 23 games.

Straw went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, two steals and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Straw is now up to 11 steals for the season and he has six hits in his last three games, with three of those knocks going for extra bases. Straw's .263 average and .675 OPS are both his best marks since he played a career-high 158 games in 2021, but there's not a clear path to playing time with Daulton Varsho and now George Springer back in the fold in the outfield.

Straw went 4-for-5 with two home runs, three runs scored and five RBI in Saturday's 14-2 rout of the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
In his first career multi-homer performance, Straw took Patrick Corbin deep in the second inning for a three-run blast before connecting on a two-run shot in the third off Jon Gray. Straw doubled his home run total on the season in the process, and he's now up to 10 long balls in 665 career big-league contests. With George Springer back from the IL, Straw will likely be limited to a short-side platoon role and late-inning defensive duties down the stretch. On the season, he's slashing .260/.303/.363 in 103 games with nine steals, 27 RBI and 39 runs.
