Michael Lorenzen allowed three earned runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out two over four innings in Tuesday's loss to the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Lorenzen has settled down on the mound of late, allowing two earned runs or less in six of his last nine contests. The right-hander remains another underwhelming option in the Rockies rotation for manager Warren Schaeffer, posting a 6.59 ERA and 1.81 WHIP with a 3-9 record and 2.0 K/BB ratio through 23 appearances.

Michael Lorenzen allowed six earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five over 3 2/3 innings in Tuesday's win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Lorenzen has struggled to miss opposing bats of late, allowing three earned runs or more in four of his last six contests. The right-hander continues to fall victim to pitching in an unfavorable home ballpark, posting a 6.53 ERA and 1.79 WHIP with a 3-9 record and .914 OPS allowed across 22 appearances.

Lorenzen did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on five hits and three walks over five innings against the Giants. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Lorenzen allowed plenty of traffic and generated just two whiffs, but the veteran hurler limited the damage to one run across five innings. The right-hander has shown some improvement of late, posting a 3.22 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 25:16 K:BB across 36.1 innings over his past seven starts. Overall, Lorenzen will take a 3-9 record with a 6.22 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 73:38 K:BB across 97 innings (21 appearances) into the All-Star break.

Lorenzen allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out five over six innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Considering the opponent, this was an admirable performance for Lorenzen, who has had more than his fair share of struggles this season. This was his longest outing since he went seven innings versus the Mets on April 24. The right-hander has allowed 15 runs (14 earned) over 31.1 innings across his last six starts, which isn't dominant, but it's a noticeable improvement. Overall, Lorenzen still has a 6.65 ERA, 1.79 WHIP and 72:35 K:BB through 92 innings across 20 games (19 starts) on the year. He is tentatively projected to make a road start versus the Giants over the weekend.

Lorenzen did not factor into the decision in Thursday's win over the Marlins, allowing four runs on four hits and six walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Lorenzen couldn't find his command Thursday, as he issued a season-high six walks while throwing just 46 of his 95 pitches for strikes. Coming into the day, Lorenzen had pitched to a respectable 3.43 ERA in his previous four outings (21 innings), striking out 18 while issuing just four walks in that span. Overall, the veteran right-hander is 3-9 with a 6.91 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 67:32 K:BB across 86 innings this season. Lorenzen is currently lined up to face the Dodgers on the road his next time out.

Lorenzen (3-9) earned the win over Minnesota on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out one batter over 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Lorenzen looked like he could be in for another rough outing when he allowed the first three batters he faced in the game to reach base. However, the right-hander rebounded to escape the first frame with only one run on his ledger, and the Twins were able to push just one more run across the plate while he was in the game. Lorenzen was far from dominant -- he allowed at least one hit in all but one inning and managed just a single punchout -- but he pitched well enough to record his first victory since April 24. He logged an ugly 7.80 ERA and 1.82 WHIP across 10 appearances between victories, so Lorenzen will likely have to string together several strong performances before becoming a viable fantasy pickup.

Lorenzen (2-9) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five over 5.1 innings to take the loss versus the Pirates on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Lorenzen pitched well against the Cubs over his last two starts, allowing a total of two runs over 10 innings, but he couldn't do the same against a different NL Central foe. He's now allowed at least four runs in eight of his 17 appearances (16 starts) this season, including two of four in June. For the season, the right-hander has a 7.11 ERA, 1.83 WHIP and 65:26 K:BB through 17 innings. Lorenzen's next start is projected to come on the road in Minnesota.

Lorenzen did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over five innings against the Cubs. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing a leadoff homer to Pete Crow-Armstrong, Lorenzen worked through the rest of his outing without allowing any further damage. In what has been a difficult season for the veteran right-hander, he has now turned in back-to-back respectable starts, allowing one run across five innings in each outing. Lorenzen will take a 2-8 record with a 7.13 ERA and 1.85 WHIP across 70.2 innings (16 appearances) into his next outing, tentatively slated for Sunday against the Pirates.

Lorenzen allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
This was one of Lorenzen's best outings of the season, but he still left the game with the Rockies trailing. The right-hander had been shelled for eight runs in 3.1 innings in his previous start. He's winless over his last eight games and now has a 7.54 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 55:24 K:BB through 65.2 innings over 15 appearances (14 starts). He'll look to build off of this outing in his next projected start, which is lined up to be a rematch with the Cubs in Chicago.

Lorenzen (2-8) allowed eight runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out five over 3.1 innings to take the loss Wednesday versus the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Lorenzen continues to be a magnet for crooked numbers. He fell short of completing four frames for the second start in a row. He's given up 32 runs (31 earned) across 26.2 innings over six starts since the beginning of May, including 15 runs across 13.1 innings on the road. Lorenzen has an 8.01 ERA, 1.99 WHIP and 48:22 K:BB through 14 outings (13 starts) this season. He is tentatively projected to start at home versus the Cubs next week.
