Webb (5-6) took the loss against the Rockies on Friday, allowing seven runs on 11 hits and two walks with two strikeouts over three innings.

Webb struggled from the jump, allowing a leadoff homer to Jake McCarthy while yielding multiple runs in each frame. It marked the shortest outing of the year for the 29-year-old, an abrupt end to a stellar run in which he had completed at least seven frames in five consecutive quality starts. He owns a 3.66 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 78:24 K:BB across 93.1 innings this season and will try to rebound in a home matchup with the Blue Jays next week.

Webb went at least seven frames in each of his five starts in June. He allowed just four runs (three earned) over 19 hits and four walks while racking up 29 strikeouts over 38 innings for the month. Webb was off to a shaky start to the season before he missed most of May due to a knee injury, but he's been back in workhorse form since he returned. He's now at a 3.09 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 76:22 K:BB through 90.1 innings over 14 starts this season. The time he's already missed is likely to cost him a chance to reach the 200-inning mark for the fourth year in a row, but that's about the only knock on his numbers halfway through the season. Webb is projected to make his next start on the road in Colorado.

Webb turned in another workhorse performance, finishing an eight-inning complete game despite being tagged with the loss. The right-hander surrendered a solo homer to Kyle Stowers in the second inning that put San Francisco in an early hole, but he otherwise kept Miami's offense in check. However, the Giants couldn't generate much offense against a Marlins bullpen game, leaving Webb with little margin for error. He has now worked at least seven innings in every start this month and has completed eight frames in each of his last three outings. Webb owns a 3.35 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 70:20 K:BB across 83.1 innings on the season. He'll look to keep rolling in his next scheduled start at home against Atlanta.

Webb (4-4) earned the win Sunday, allowing an unearned run on seven hits and no walks over eight innings against the Cubs. He struck out seven.

Webb's strong run continued Sunday, as the right-hander kept the Cubs off the board through the first seven frames before a Casey Schmitt throwing error in the eighth inning paved the way for Chicago's lone run scored. Webb has been nothing short of magnificent through three outings in June, posting a 0.39 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and 18:1 K:BB across 23 innings. He'll carry a 3.46 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 65:19 K:BB across 75.1 innings (12 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Saturday against the Marlins.

Webb did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing one run on five hits and no walks over eight innings against the Nationals. He struck out seven.

EDGE Analysis

Webb was masterful, logging a season-high eight innings and putting himself in line for the win before Keaton Winn imploded in the ninth frame. Since returning from the injured list May 29, Webb has dazzled to a 0.93 ERA and 0.67 WHIP across 19.1 innings in three starts. The right-hander will look to maintain this stellar form in his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Cubs.

Webb (3-4) got the win Wednesday against the Brewers, giving up no runs on one hit and one walk with four strikeouts across seven innings.

EDGE Analysis

Webb carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning before Brice Turang lined an opposite field single. The right-hander's groundball rate of 58.2 percent was in full effect as the Brewers could only manage weak contact throughout the game. This is Webb's most dominant start this year as it has not been a strong start of a season for Webb as he had a 4.82 ERA coming into the game even though his underlying stuff (34.2 percent chase rate) have been good. The 29-year-old is slated to make his next start at home against the Nationals.
