Liam Hicks went 0-for-2 with a walk, one run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-3 loss against the San Diego Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks went hitless in the weekend series against San Diego but was still able to provide fantasy managers with some production. He drew a walk in the second inning, stole third base and came around to score on an error. He owns a .270/.353/.338 slash line with one home run and two stolen bases across 74 at-bats in July.

Hicks is not in the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Guardians.

Hicks went 3-for-5 with two runs scored in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks has come back hot after a minimum stay on the injured list due to a back issue. He's gone 9-for-23 (.391) since his return while making starts at catcher (one), first base (two) and designated hitter (two) in that span. He's had a consistent enough bat to be a near-everyday presence in the lineup for the Marlins. Hicks is hitting .288 with an .830 OPS, 13 home runs, 54 RBI, 48 runs scored, seven doubles, one triple and a stolen base over 78 contests. He continues to primarily bat out of the leadoff spot versus right-handed pitchers.

Hicks went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Making his second straight start at first base since coming off the IL, Hicks has banged out two hits and scored a run in each game since recovering from a lower-back strain. The 27-year-old's breakout campaign doesn't appear to be slowing down -- over 19 contests since the beginning of June, Hicks has produced a .324/.405/.471 slash line with five extra-base hits, including two homers, eight RBI and 15 runs.

The Marlins activated Hicks (back) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old has been dealing with a lower-back strain but is ready to rejoin the Marlins after spending the 10-day minimum on the shelf. Miami has yet to release its starting nine for Tuesday's contest, but Hicks should immediately reclaim a prominent spot in the lineup.

Hicks (back) is expected to return from the 10-day injured list Tuesday in Colorado when first eligible, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks participated in full baseball activities Friday and is swinging without limitations and is able to catch. The Marlins have an ideal seven-game schedule this week, facing the Rockies and Athletics in hitter-friendly venues. Even though he'll remain out for the Marlins' opening game in Colorado, Hicks looks like a viable option in weekly leagues that start two catchers.

Hicks is awaiting MRI results on his injured lower back, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a lower-back strain, and the Marlins will have a better idea as to proceed with his rehab after the MRI results are in. Manager Clayton McCullough said Monday that Hicks feels improved but is "still stiff." The club could have more on Hicks' status later Monday.
