Vidal (thigh) returned to Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vidal had exited the contest due to a thigh issue, but he was able to return to the Chargers' Week 11 backfield, which also includes Amar Johnson and Trayveon Williams.

Vidal exited Sunday's game against the Jaguars after sustaining a thigh injury.
EDGE Analysis
Before hurting his thigh, Vidal had carried three times for 11 yards and caught both of his targets for minus-1 yard. Amar Johnson and Trayveon Williams are available to handle the Chargers' backfield duties while Vidal is sidelined.

Vidal took 25 carries for 95 yards and a touchdown while adding 13 yards on one reception in Sunday's 25-10 win over Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Vidal bounced back in a big way from a forgettable showing against the Titans last week (12-30-0). The 23-year-old set a new personal high with Sunday's 25 carries while cashing in his second rushing touchdown (third overall) through five starts for the injured Omarion Hampton (ankle). The latter is expected to remain out until after the Chargers' Week 12 bye, affording Vidal at least one more opportunity to operate as the team's lead back. Fantasy managers should be wary against Jacksonville next Sunday, as Vidal has alternated stud and dud performances in each of the aforementioned five starts this season.

Vidal logged 12 rushes for 30 yards in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Titans. He did not catch his lone target.
EDGE Analysis
Vidal had high expectations entering this favorable matchup, but he instead might have ceded clear lead-back duties while Omarion Hampton (ankle) remains sidelined. Vidal led the Chargers backfield in carries 8-2 at halftime, but he was out-carried by Jarrett Patterson 7-4 in the final two quarters. While it's possible that had to do with game script, the Chargers only briefly held a two-score lead and Patterson was also more effective with his work. Vidal should remain in fantasy consideration so long as Hampton is out, but his role is a bit murkier moving forward.

Vidal rushed 23 times for 117 yards and a touchdown and brought in one of two targets for 10 yards in the Chargers' 37-10 win over the Vikings on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Following an impressive Week 6 showing against the Dolphins where Vidal compiled a career-best 124 yards, the 2024 sixth-round pick was stymied by the Colts to the tune of 20 yards on just nine carries Sunday. However, the second-year pro bounced back in spectacular fashion Thursday, averaging just over 5.0 yards per tote while rattling off three runs of double-digit yardage. He also added a three-yard scoring run early in the second quarter for his first NFL touchdown, rounding out his night nicely. Vidal appears fully capable of holding down the fort in the ground attack until Omarion Hampton (IR, ankle) is ready to return, and he could well put together a successful encore on the road in Week 9 when Los Angeles faces the vulnerable Titans on Nov. 2.

Vidal carried the ball nine times for 20 yards and caught four of five targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
After a huge Week 6 performance against the Dolphins as the Chargers' lead back, Vidal had much less success in Week 7. While he still led Los Angeles in carries, Justin Herbert actually led the team in rushing yards with a meager 31. With Omarion Hampton (IR, ankle) likely still more than a month away from his return, Vidal will maintain his spot at the top of the depth chart heading into a Week 8 clash with a Vikings defense that just held Saquon Barkley to 44 rushing yards and 2.4 yards per carry.

Vidal carried the ball 18 times for 124 yards and also caught three of his four targets for 14 yards and a touchdown in the 29-27 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Despite reports earlier this week Vidal and Hassan Haskins would be a part of a committee, the second-year back proved definitively he was the more explosive player by tallying 138 total yards on 21 touches to Haskins' 23 yards on seven opportunities. Omarion Hampton (ankle) is expected to be out at least a month, and while the Chargers have reportedly been sniffing around available options according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Vidal's massive outing might quiet the trade calls for another week. It's worth noting Miami's run defense is one of the worst in the league, and it should be tougher sledding at home against the Colts next week.

Offensive coordinator Greg Roman said Thursday that Vidal and Hassan Haskins will both factor in significantly Sunday against the Dolphins, but neither is viewed as the clear lead back, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vidal was signed to the active roster Wednesday off the Chargers' practice squad, taking the roster spot that the team cleared by placing Omarion Hampton (ankle) on IR. Haskins and Vidal each played 14 snaps on offense in the Chargers' 27-10 Week 5 loss to Commanders, during which Hampton was injured. It sounds like both healthy running backs will have opportunities to capitalize on Sunday's favorable matchup against a Dolphins defense that has allowed the most rushing yards in the NFL this season. Amar Johnson and/or Nyheim Hines could also factor into the backfield mix if elevated from the practice squad.

The Chargers signed Vidal to their active roster Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He'll take the place of Omarion Hampton, who was placed on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury late in the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Commanders. Vidal and Hassan Haskins formed a near 50/50 split on the next drive, with Vidal then taking over on the final series once Justin Herbert and other starters had been pulled. Vidal was a practice-squad promotion for Weeks 4 and 5 -- after Najee Harris suffered a season-ending injury -- but will now reside on the active roster and have a role in the Week 6 game plan against a struggling Miami defense.

Vidal reverted back to the Chargers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
EDGE Analysis
After being elevated for Week 5 action, Vidal logged 14 snaps in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Commanders en route to carrying four times for 18 yards and catching his only target for one yard. Meanwhile, fellow RB Hassan Haskins also recorded 14 snaps, while carrying five times for 13 yards and catching his only target for two yards. However, with Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reporting that top back Omarion Hampton is slated to go on IR and miss at least four games with an ankle injury, Vidal and Haskins both figure to see added touches in that span, with Amar Johnson a potential practice-squad elevation. It's also possible that the team adds backfield depth in the coming days, but in the meantime the looming possibility of an expanded workload makes Vidal (who appears destined for either another elevation or an active roster spot Week 6) a worthy waiver wire target for those in need of RB help.
