The Browns are finalizing a trade Monday that will send Garrett to the Rams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garrett, who tallied a career-high 23.0 sacks across 17 regular-season appearances in 2025, reportedly will be dealt to Los Angeles with Cleveland receiving edge rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick and other draft compensation in return. The transaction is a substantial all-in maneuver by the Rams, as the team works to maximize the competitive window of veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford, who inked a one-year extension in mid-May. Garrett remains one of the most impactful defensive players in the league and will arguably see his IDP fantasy prospects rise even further once the trade is finalized.
Not to mention the NFC West now has the Offensive player of the year, the defensive player of the year, the league MVP, the Superbowl MVP, and the comeback player of the year.

The Browns are going to be horrible for the next 7 years and the Rams are going to be great this season then horrible for the following 7 years

What else is new? Browns sucked the day the NFL gave Cleveland a team back.
We'll see about the Rams and their rookie QB in a year or two. The team does seems to be getting old though.
