Conte (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Joe Kania of the Buccaneers official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conte left last Thursday's loss to the Rams in the third quarter as a result of the injury, and it is still apparently limiting him to a degree almost a week later. Four-year veteran Keith Tandy is Conte's official backup at free safety, although Major Wright opened the season as the starting defensive centerfielder for the Bucs, and could certainly step in if Conte can't go on Sunday. Thursday's practice participation report should serve to shed further light on Conte's progress towards possibly taking the field against his former Bears teammates in Week 16.

Similar to his secondary mates, his play was a mixed bag while he was in. The severity of Conte's knee injury remains unknown, as does his status for the Week 16 tilt versus the Bears.

Conte collected five tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
The Bucs' free safety had a relatively quiet day, and was part of a Tampa secondary that surrendered 312 yards in the air to Drew Brees. Conte has now collected 75 stops on the season, the second-highest tackle total of his five-year career. He also has forced a career-high two fumbles and has a chance to match his career-best total of three interceptions with one more pick over the Bucs' final three games.

Conte managed four tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 23-19 victory over the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
The fifth-year veteran bounced back somewhat from the one-tackle performance he'd posted in Week 12 versus the Colts, but still had a relatively quiet afternoon compared to the majority of his games earlier this season. Conte's four stops did give him a total of 70 on the season, making it the second-highest tackle tally of his career. Conte and his secondary mates should have a busy day ahead of them in the Bucs' Week 13 home tilt versus the Saints.

Conte was only able to total a solo tackle in Sunday's Week 12 loss to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Conte had by far his most unproductive day on the season, barely showing up on the stat sheet over 71 snaps. He also was part of a Bucs secondary that managed to allow 40-year-old Matt Hasselbeck to turn in a 315-yard performance that was reminiscent of his Seahawks heyday. Conte and the Tampa secondary will try to regroup in a tough matchup versus Matt Ryan and Julio Jones in their Week 13 tilt versus the Falcons.

Conte was in on 64 snaps in Tampa's Week 11 victory, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conte continues to distinguish himself in what might end up being the best season of his five-year career. The Bucs' starting free safety posted a season-high in tackles in Week 11 while also collecting his second interception of 2015. Conte has also now amassed 65 tackles, two forced fumbles and six passed defensed over 10 games this year.

Conte collected 10 tackles (seven solo) and his second interception of the season in Sunday's 45-17 victory over the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Conte enjoyed his best performance of 2015 in Tampa's landmark victory, posting season bests in total tackles and solo stops. The veteran safety also notched one of three picks of Mark Sanchez on Sunday, the most by the Bucs in a game this season. Conte is increasingly proving to be a highly cost-effective and productive free-agent acquistion by the Bucs, and may be having the best season of his five-year career.

Conte was credited with five tackles (four solo), including a tackle for loss, in Sunday's 10-6 victory over the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
The Bucs' starting free safety continues his solid season, and has now posted stops behind the line of scrimmage in three of his last four contests. The veteran was a key part of holding Cowboys quarterback Matt Cassel to 186 yards passing on 6.4 yards per attempt, and yielding a paltry two yards per rush to the Dallas running attack. Conte continues to be on pace for just under 100 tackles on the season after tallying 55 over Tampa's first nine games.
