Impending free agent LG Andy Levitre made it clear while cleaning out his locker on Monday that he intends to shop for the best offer on the market this offseason.
The Bills opened preliminary talks in the offseason, but they went nowhere. A picture of durability on an oft-injured offensive line, Levitre has started 64 consecutive games since entering the league as the 51st overall pick in the 2009 draft. Levitre is Rotoworld's No. 1 ranked guard on the market this year. He should attract plenty of suitors if the Bills don't re-sign him before free agency kicks off.

Bills LG Andy Levitre has "nothing to report" on contract talks with the club this season.
"I'd love to stay here," Levitre said. "It's a great place. I love the staff. I love the people here in Buffalo." The sides opened preliminary talks in the offseason, but "as of now," there's nothing in the works. Levitre's 60 consecutive starts are the most of any Bills player, and he grades out ninth among NFL guards this season, according to Pro Football Focus.

Bills LG Andy Levitre underwent a knee "procedure" during Buffalo's bye week, but is expected to be fine for Week 9.
"He wasn't coming back from anything," coach Chan Gailey said Monday. "He just had something, a procedure, and I hate to use that word, he had something done on his knee. They injected it or they did something to it but he's fine." Levitre is just the latest Bills lineman to come down with injury, but unlike the majority of his teammates, he doesn't appear poised to miss any time. Levitre has never missed a start since being the No. 51 pick of the 2009 draft.

The Bills have opened preliminary contract talks with LG Andy Levitre.
Buffalo's most versatile lineman has started 48 consecutive games heading into the final year of his rookie contract. After receiving a wake-up call in last year's training camp, Levitre emerged as one of the NFL's most effective guards in the first half of the season. He's an important building block up front.

Andy Levitre won't start at center in next week's game against the Jets.
Levitre is a natural guard that has also played tackle for the injury-ravaged Bills. But trying to fill in at center yesterday proved to be too tall of a task. He struggled so badly with shotgun snaps that Kraig Urbik had to come on at center and kick Levitre back to left guard. That's the likely alignment going forward.

Bills LG Andy Levitre is expected to kick outside to left tackle against the Cowboys in Week 10.
Starter Demetrius Bell is out and backup Chris Hairston is still battling a high ankle sprain. Levitre has been one of the league's premier guards in the first half of the season, but this is going to be a major mismatch in DeMarcus Ware's favor. Chad Rinehart will fill in at left guard.

Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com notes that Bills LG Andy Levitre "mauled" the Eagles defensive line in Week 5.
Prisco's film study gibes with the findings of Pro Football Focus, who rate Levitre as the best guard in the NFL through five weeks. It's an amazing turnaround for the 2009 second-rounder, who had to fight off Chad Rinehart to keep his starting job this summer.

Bills LG Andy Levitre is in danger of losing his starting job to Chad Rinehart.
Rinehart is a Redskins castoff, which tells you all you need to know about Buffalo's offensive line and Levitre in particular. A big reach as the 51st overall pick in the 2009 draft, Levitre has been a run-blocking liability since entering the league. The Bills will struggle to open holes if he keeps the job.
