Ellington totaled three carries for three yards and couldn't haul in his only target during Saturday's divisional-round victory against the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Ellington has received touches in 11 of the Cardinals' 17 games this season, but his non-existent showing wasn't a surprise due to a season-low seven snaps. Still, he should continue to complement lead back David Johnson within the offense, as Ellington has received between three and eight touches in 10 contests as a reserve.

Ellington (toe) turned in 19 of the Cardinals' 58 offensive snaps (33 percent) during Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
EDGE Analysis
The modest workload didn't reap dividends in the box score in what amounted to a scaled-back game plan, including Carson Palmer's (finger) removal from the contest at halftime. Ellington didn't receive a touch until the 4:10 mark of the third quarter, yet he was the only Arizona RB outside of David Johnson to contribute, notching two carries for two yards and one reception (on two targets) for seven yards. With a bye week to prepare for the divisional round, Ellington will continue therapy to reduce any remnants of the turf toe that forced absences from Weeks 13 through 15.

Ellington (toe) is listed as active Sunday versus the Seahawks, Mark Dalton of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
A Cardinals win in Week 17 must coincide with a Panthers loss to the Buccaneers in order to achieve home-field advantage throughout the playoff. However, if the Panthers hold a noticeable lead early in the game, it may be enough to spur head coach Bruce Arians to sit David Johnson and Ellington in order to preserve them for future weeks. If the preceding comes to pass, the Cardinals would be down to Stepfan Taylor (shoulder) and Kerwynn Williams out of the backfield.

Ellington (toe) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Ellington should be a go this week, though he's a Week 17 fantasy dart, as a change-of-pace/complementary option working behind David Johnson.

Ellington (toe) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out Weeks 13 through 15 as a result of turf toe, Ellington will likely endure a cap on his practice reps through the Cardinals' upcoming playoff run. Such a precaution is advised with Chris Johnson (fractured tibia) sidelined and only modest depth outside of starter David Johnson. Expect Ellington to receive his typical handful of touches Sunday against the Seahawks.

Ellington (toe) returned from a three-game absence Sunday, taking seven carries for 40 yards and his sole target for five yards during a 38-8 win versus the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Both Ellington and Chris Johnson (broken tibia) incurred lengthy absences stemming from injuries suffered in Week 12, but the former's bout with turf toe was far less serious. In the eventual blowout of the Packers, Ellington received one carry on the Cardinals' second drive of the game, with David Johnson handling the rest of the RB reps. However, the lead was extended from 17 to 31 points in quick succession after halftime, giving Ellington a chance at sustained work. The eight total touches is in line with the reserve role that he served in behind the veteran Johnson earlier in the year, which owners can expect to continue as he spells the rookie in the season finale and beyond.

Ellington (toe) is active for Sunday's contest against the Packers, Darren Urban of the Packers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cleared to play for the first time since Week 12, Ellington will likely be relegated to a reserve role, which equated to about five touches per game behind Chris Johnson earlier in the season. With Johnson (broken tibia) sidelined for the foreseeable future, Ellington will spell current workhorse David Johnson.

Ellington (toe) is expected to play Sunday against the Packers, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
EDGE Analysis
Ellington, who is officially listed as questionable, was able to practice on a limited basis both Thursday and Friday. He has been sidelined since Week 12, and given the way David Johnson has played lately, it seems unlikely Ellington will get a significant number of touches in his first game back.

Ellington (toe) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Ellington was able to practice on a limited basis both Thursday and Friday, so he will have a chance to play Sunday for the first time since Week 12. David Johnson has established himself as the Cardinals' primary running back over the last couple weeks, so Ellington will likely play a complimentary role if he is able to take the field Sunday.

Ellington (toe) suited up for Friday's practice, Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports 910 reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not clear how much Ellington was able to get in Friday, but it's a good sign for his Week 16 availability that he was on the field for the second day in a row. The Cardinals will reveal Ellington's status for Week 16 at the conclusion of Friday's session.
