Smith was limited during Tuesday's practice due to a sore hip, Joe Vardon of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the injury doesn't sound serious, it's enough to limit Smith to begin camp. He should be considered day-to-day moving forward.

Smith generated 13 points (5-14 FG, 3-10 3Pt), four rebounds and three steals across 33 minutes during Cleveland's 110-102 loss to the Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was far from sharp from the field, but a trio of three-pointers helped prop up his final scoring haul significantly. The embattled veteran has now scored in double digits in two of the first three games of the series, and in three of his past four postseason games overall. However, he's now shot under 40.0 percent in 10 straight contests as well, making his game-to-game production highly volatile. Smith will look to boost his overall numbers when the Cavaliers try to stave off elimination in Friday's Game 4.

Smith registered five points (2-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two assists, one rebound and two steals across 31 minutes during Cleveland's 122-103 loss to the Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
One game after his infamous gaffe in the closing seconds of regulation, Smith failed to atone for his mistake with any appreciable contributions. He struggled from the field for the what could be considered the ninth consecutive postseason contest, a stretch during which he's shot no better than 37.5 percent in any one outing. Smith is only draining 26.3 percent of his 9.5 shot attempts per game over the first two installments of the series against the Warriors, a figure that he'll look to significantly boost when the Cavaliers attempt to get on the board in the series during Wednesday's Game 3.

Smith failed to score while adding just three rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 107-94 loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was terrible Tuesday, missing all seven of his field-goal attempts while also picking up both a flagrant and technical foul late in the fourth quarter. The fact he played 27 minutes while offering so little to the team is a good indication of the lack of depth on the Cavaliers roster. He will need to bounce back on Saturday if the Cavaliers are to win Game Three and make the series interesting.

Smith netted only four points (2-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and added one rebound, one assist and one steal across 29 minutes during Cleveland's 108-83 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran wing had shot a blistering 63.0 percent over four games against the Raptors in the semifinal round, so Sunday's struggles marked a resurfacing of his previous issues with his accuracy. Smith often struggles to offer much outside of the scoring column, so he's bound to generate forgettable, one-dimensional stat lines the likes of Sunday's when he can't his shot to fall. He'll look to bounce back when the Cavaliers attempt to even the series in Tuesday's Game 2.

Smith poured in 11 points (3-9 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and added three rebounds, two assists and one block across 35 minutes during Cleveland's 105-101 win over the Pacers in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran hit double digits in the scoring column for the third time in the series, despite the fact he shot under 40.0 percent in the last five games against the Pacers. Smith drained all of his buckets from distance for the third straight contest as well, factoring out Game 5, when he came up empty on all eight shot attempts overall. Smith is likely to continue running with the starters heading into the semifinal-round series against the Raptors, but his inconsistent production keeps him strictly as a DFS tournament play.

Smith tallied nine points (3-9 FG, 3-8 3Pt), and three rebounds in 27 minutes during Friday's 121-87 loss to Indiana.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was bad again Friday, hitting just three triples on his way to nine points. He hasn't had a good season and is a mere shell of the player he was only two seasons ago. The Cavaliers are going to need to muster everything they have on Sunday in the hope that they can move through to the second-round. Even if this is the case, the roster is likely to be overhauled in the off-season and basically, everyone could be on the chopping block.

Smith scored zero points (0-8 FG, 0-6 3Pt) while adding three assists, two rebounds and two steals across 33 minutes in Wednesday's 98-95 victory over the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
Smith is now shooting under 30 percent over the last three contests, as his solid Game 1 has turned into nothing for the rest of the series. He will need to get his shooting on track before the series ends if he wants to avoid being on the wrong end of a lineup change in the next series, or before they get eliminated.

Smith went for 12 points (4-12 FG, 4-10 3Pt) and five rebounds across 35 minutes during Cleveland's 104-100 win over the Pacers in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series.
EDGE Analysis
Smith's shooting percentage was under 40.0 percent for the second straight game, but he still managed his second double-digit scoring effort of the series. The veteran has also contributed five boards apiece in the last two games, as well, and he's now averaging 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals over the first four games against the Pacers.

Smith will enter the starting five for Game 2 against the Pacers on Wednesday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Ty Lue indicated after Sunday's Game 1 loss that he expected to change up his top unit, so this isn't a huge surprise. Smith and Kyle Korver are slated to enter the starting lineup, while the likes of Rodney Hood and Jeff Green head back to a bench role. Whether this group sticks moving forward will likely be determined by its success Wednesday, so stay tuned for additional moves pending the Game 2 result. Smith tallied 15 points in 28 minutes during Game 1.
