Cunningham, as expected, will start Wednesday against the Grizzlies, Sean Kelley of the Pelicans Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Last season, Cunningham played 25.0 minutes per game but averaged just 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds. So, even if he sees a significant bump in workload this season, it seems unlikely to translate into meaningful fantasy production.

Cunningham is expected to serve as the Pelicans' starting small forward in their season opener Wednesday against the Grizzlies, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Cunningham's starting assignment may be enough to lock him into a 20-plus-minute role to begin the season, don't expect him to deliver much in terms of fantasy value while he shares the court with high-usage players in Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and Jrue Holiday. In his 35 starts in 2016-17, Cunningham averaged 6.8 points and 4.6 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per game. Tony Allen and Darius Miller will likely pick up most of the playing time at small forward when Cunningham is on the bench.

Cunningham is expected to start at small forward for Tuesday's preseason opener against the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
Cunningham re-signed with the Pelicans to a one-year, $2.3 million contract this summer and it appears he'll get the first shot to start alongside Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins in the frontcourt. Still, E'Twaun Moore and Tony Allen are likely still in the conversation and could rotate in as starters throughout the preseason schedule. It will be a competition to monitor throughout the season, though even if Cunningham earns a role in the top unit, he's still not the most intriguing fantasy option and would be the last option offensively behind the likes of Rajon Rondo, Jrue Holiday, Davis and Cousins.

Cunningham agreed to a one-year, $2.3 million deal with the Pelicans on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cunningham, who declined his $3.1 million player option for 2017-18 with the Pelicans, will end up re-signing with the team for less money. He was likely hoping for a more lucrative, long-term deal after shooting nearly 40 percent from beyond the arc last season, but seemingly struggled to find any suitors. Cunningham posted 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds across 25.0 minutes per game last season in New Orleans and will probably see a similar workload during the upcoming 2017-18 campaign. Due to his role, he should be targeted in only deep fantasy leagues.

Cunningham said Saturday that he intends to decline his player option for the 2017-18 season, Chris Haynes of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The decision doesn't come as much of a surprise considering Westbrook was set to make just over $3.1 million next season. The 30-year-old, who appeared in 66 games for New Orleans, will likely seek a longer-term deal as a free agent, and chances are he'll draw considerable interest after shooting nearly 40 percent from three in 2016-17.

Cunningham collected six points (3-6 FG) and five rebounds over 27 minutes in Saturday's 123-101 loss to the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
Cunningham notched a second straight start at power forward in place of DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) and has now averaged 5.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in those games. The eight-year veteran's upside remains capped even when getting extra run with the first unit, with a pair of 15-point efforts serving as his scoring high for the season.

Cunningham will get the spot start at power forward for Friday's game against the Nuggets, Pelicans' radio announcer Sean Kelley reports.
EDGE Analysis
The team is opting to sit DeMarcus Cousins due to a nagging sore Achilles. As a result, Cunningham will slide into the starting lineup. He has averaged just 6.7 points and 4.7 rebounds across 28.5 minutes in 31 starts this season.

Cunningham ended up with 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 0-2 FT) with two rebounds and two steals over 20 minutes in Wednesday's 121-118 win against the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
Cunningham headed back to the bench with DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) back after a two-game hiatus. However, despite the return to the bench, it was one of his best performances of the season. Even though he had a rather solid stat line he remains useful only in deeper fantasy leagues.

Cunningham is expected to return to the bench for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
Cunningham has started the last two games in place of the ailing DeMarcus Cousins (ankle), averaging just 7.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 block across 34.0 minutes. His move back to the bench should signal a decent drop in minutes, which takes Cunningham off the radar in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Cunningham totaled eight points (2-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with four rebounds over 39 minutes in Monday's 108-100 loss against the Jazz.
EDGE Analysis
Cunningham was making another start in place of the injured DeMarcus Cousins (ankle), but he is just a placeholder. He is averaging only 7.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocked shot in his two starts in the absence of Cousins. Cunningham had the chance to be a DFS sleeper while filling in, but he hasn't even lived up to meager salary expectations with this little bit of production.
