Voit isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Phillies due to hamstring soreness, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Voit has been an everyday player for the Padres this season, and he's out of the lineup Thursday for the first time since May 24. Manager Bob Melvin said that Voit could have played, but the team wanted to be safe by keeping him out of the starting nine. The 31-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now.

Voit went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's loss against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Voit took Antonio Senzatela deep in the second inning to give the Padres a short-lived lead. He later came around to score on an Austin Nola homer in the eighth. Voit had a slow start to the year, but he has picked things up in June with eight multi-hit affairs in 19 games this month. The first baseman is on a three-game hitting streak and has raised his season batting average to .245.

The 31-year-old has been hot over his last four games, going 7-for-19 with three home runs and three doubles, though the walk was his first since June 1. Voit went 2-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored and five RBI in a 12-5 win over the Cubs on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
With his team down by five in the sixth, Voit hit a two-run shot to put his team on the board. He would also cash in the go ahead-run on a bases-clearing, three-RBI double his very next at-bat. Voit is now slashing .226/.306/.396 on the season. Despite carrying a 33.9 percent strikeout rate, Voit is a mainstay in the heart of the Padres lineup and should continue to see plenty of RBI opportunities from the cleanup spot.

Voit went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Voit's sixth home run of the season put the Padres on the board after Rockies starter German Marquez blanked the Friars through the first four frames. Since returning from a stint on the 10-day injured list May 10 after dealing with a biceps injury, Voit has slashed .259/.311/.464 with six home runs, 16 RBI and 15 runs in 29 games.

Voit went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Monday in a loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The Padres trailed 7-2 entering the bottom of the eighth inning before Voit made things interesting with a three-run shot to center field. The Mets bounced back with four runs of their own in the following frame to put the game out of reach. Despite the loss, Voit continued a recent resurgence that has seen him slash .333/.355/.567 over his past seven games. Strikeouts remain a problem for the slugger, however, as he has fanned 11 times while taking only one walk over that span.

Voit went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Voit took Cardinals reliever Kodi Whitley deep in the ninth inning. The Padres continued to push after that, but they weren't able to tie the game. In his last 12 games, Voit is 12-for-40 (.300 with two homers, four RBI and six runs scored.) He's lifted his slash line to .217/.339/.358 with four long balls, 11 RBI, 16 runs scored, three doubles and a stolen base through 31 contests. He should continue to see regular playing time as the Padres' designated hitter.

Voit went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 4-3 victory against Pittsburgh.
