White Sox designated RHP Brian Bruney for assignment. He was cleared to make room for Saturday's starter Zach Stewart. Bruney has an ugly 6.86 ERA and 16/12 K/BB ratio over 19 2/3 innings. Chances are he'll make it through waivers unclaimed.
